The University of Dubuque got a game-five win, offsetting a 20-kill, 20-dig effort from St. Olaf's Andrea Otteman (Jr., Ames, Iowa), in a 30-25, 30-26, 22-30, 24-30 and 17-15 volleyball win in the second round of the Border Battle Friday night in St. Peter, Minn.

St. Olaf had a 14-13 lead in game five, but Dubuque took four of the next five points to collect the win.

Otteman now has 966 career kills.

Jena Goedken (So., Lamont, Iowa/Starmont) had 18 kills and 15 digs to pace the Spartans.

Christine Brook (Fy, Centennial, Colo./Cheery Creek) hit .455 and had 16 kills in the loss. The Oles' Danica Finseth (Sr., Chatfield, Minn.) had 14 and Jessica Levin (Fy, Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Xavier) 11 kills.

The Spartans' Taylor Foltz (Sr., Mt. Carroll, Iowa) hit .308 with 11 kills.

The loss snapped the Oles' longest win streak of the year at four.

St. Olaf plays Luther College at 11 a.m. and Simpson College at 3 p.m. The Oles defeated Luther in their season opener at the UW-LaCrosse Invite.
