St. Olaf volleyball finished the MIAC season Wednesday night with a four game loss to cross-town rival Carleton College at Carleton.

Leading the Oles on offense was Danica Finseth (Jr., Chatfield, Minn./ Chosen Valley) with 12 kills, followed closely by Ashley Dennis (So., Billings, Mont./ Sky View) and Andrea Otteman (So., Ames, Iowa) who each had 11.

On defense, the Oles looked strong with Audrey Volstad (So., Hanley Falls, Minn./ Yellow Medicine East) and Tremaine Versteeg (So., Pella, Iowa) each contributing 17 digs.

The Carleton win earned them sole possession of the MIAC conference championship, and a number one seed entering the MIAC playoffs beginning next Thursday.

The Ole loss brings them to 4-7 in the MIAC and 13-14 overall.

St. Olaf heads south this weekend to participate in the Trinity University Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. The Ole's first game is Friday at 3 p.m.
