The St. Olaf volleyball team lost their first two games in San Antonio, Texas Friday afternoon against Trinity in three games and to Texas Lutheran in four.

Danica Finseth (Jr., Chatfield, Minn./Chosen Valley) came up with seven kills in the match aided by Audrey Volstad's (So., Hanley Falls, Minn./Yellow Medicine East) 23 assists.

The Oles lost 30-23, 30-19 and 30-23.

In the second match of the afternoon, St. Olaf took on Texas Lutheran and fell in four games, losing the first two 30-25 and 30-26, then coming back to win the third game in a close decision 32-30, but could not continue the rally and lost the final game 30-25.

"It was a really well-played match," said senior Mara Pedersen (Sioux Falls, S.D./Lincoln), "we just couldn't make any strong pushes."

The Oles will wrap up their season in Texas with two games Saturday afternoon, and will go after it again next season with five returning starters.
