Men's Basketball
- St. Olaf (8-8, 5-6 MIAC) went 1-1 this week, with a 68-66 win over Concorida on Monday before falling to undefeated and top-ranked St. Thomas on Saturday, 73-61... The Oles were led by Mark Wieloch's 13 points and 12 from Bobby Fong in Saturday's loss to UST.
- The loss snapped the Oles' three-game winning streak.
- St. Olaf, which plays four of its next six at home, hosts Hamline on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. and Augsburg on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Women's Basketball
- St. Olaf (3-13, 1-12 MIAC) has lost eight straight, including a pair of tough home losses this week... The Oles led the College of St. Catherine 55-40 with 7:33 to go in Wednesday's game before the visiting Wildcats went on a 22-5 run to finish regulation and eventually beat the Oles 78-72 in overtime... St. Thomas defeated St. Olaf 61-51 on Saturday, a game the Oles were within five with 5:26 to play.
- Elyse Erickson had 25 points against St. Thomas, going 8-for-15 from the field and 9-for-12 from the line... The effort was her seventh 20-point game in the team's last 11 games.
- St. Olaf hosts Hamline University on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m.
Men's Hockey
- St. Olaf (12-6-1, 8-1-1 MIAC) swept Saint Mary's University this weekend, 6-4 and 9-1, to remain atop the MIAC standings... The Oles are the only team with one loss in league play and are three points ahead of second place Gustavus (7-3-0) and five ahead of third place Hamline (6-2-0).
- On Friday in Northfield, St. Olaf won with goals by Roger Trousdale, Bryan Osmondson, Ben Umhoefer, Sam Windsor, and two by Bryan Giordano.
- St. Olaf is off this week... The Oles will face Bethel University on Feb. 6-7.
Women's Hockey
- St. Olaf (5-7-4, 5-5-2 MIAC) lost two of three this week, losing a non-league game to UW-Stevens Point on Tuesday before a 3-3 tie and 3-1 loss in an MIAC series with Saint Mary's over the weekend.
- Despite the 0-2-1 week, St. Olaf remains in fourth place in the MIAC with four weeks left... St. Olaf will play three non-league games in Connecticut next week before returning for a MIAC series on Feb. 6-7 with Bethel University.
Skiing, Alpine - Men
- St. Olaf competed in the Spirit USCSA Race this weekend, outplacing ten other teams for the win.
- Nick Stand won Giant Slalom with a total run time of 58.22.
- The Oles swept first through fourth in the Men's Slalom competition with Max Lund winning with a total time of 78.84 and Connor Lund, Jeff Stamp and David Sayre coming in second, third and fourth, respectively.
- The Oles will travel to Loveland, Colorado next week.
Skiing, Alpine - Women
- St. Olaf outperformed eight teams for the win this weekend at the Spirit USCSA Race in Duluth.
- Ole Calista Anderson won the Women's Giant Slalom competition and was followed by teammates Sarah Bottjen and Genette Seske who took second and third respectively.
- Calista also earned a win in the Slalom, with a total run time of 87.99. Ole Laurie Raschler finished second in the race and Gennette Sekse fourth.
Men's Swimming and Diving
- The St. Olaf swimming and diving team lost to Division I Wisconsin this weekend 216-80.
- The Oles' Nelson Westby won the 100 Breast (56.81), 200 Breast (2:06.52), and finished second in the 200 IM (1:56.38).
- Ole Chris Bateman was second in the 500 free (4:41.96), Adam Meyer third in the 100 back (53.11) and Jake Koch fourth in the 200 free (1:45.35).
- St. Olaf competes on Friday at the University of St. Thomas.
Women's Swimming and Diving
- The Ole women were off this weekend.
- St. Olaf will compete on Friday at the University of St. Thomas.
Wrestling
- St. Olaf fell to Central College on Tuesday, 36-15.
- Oles Ryan Timmerman (133) and Bryce Mikel (174) collected wins for St. Olaf; Timmerman by a fall, and Mikel with an 8-4 decision.
- The Oles competed at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa on Friday, falling 42-9.
Men's Track and Field
- The St. Olaf men's track and field team competed in its first home event of the indoor season, meeting teams from Carleton College and Hamline University in Saturday's St. Olaf Triangular.
- The Oles' lone Cullen O'Neill won the 800 meter run, posting a time of 1:57.05. Teammates Doboul Ruon and David Green took first and second in the 1000 meter run, respectively.
- Zeke Heydenreich won the weight throw with a distance of 15.39 meters and Ryan Doyle added points with a second place finish in the long jump.
-The Ole men will race again on Friday when they host UW-River Falls and St. Cloud State.
Women's Track and Field
-The St. Olaf women hosted the St. Olaf triangular this Saturday, scoring 134.5 points to overcome Hamline University, who posted 104 points and Carleton College, scoring 78.5 points.
- St. Olaf's Jamie Mosel won the 400 meter dash in 1:08.54, while teammate Gina Collins was second in the 55 meter dash. Junior Abby Smith finished first in the 800 meter run, crossing the line in 2:26.40.
- Ole pole-vaulter Amie Fillmore won her event, vaulting 3.37 meters. At last weekend's Bethel Open, Fillmore provisionally qualified for the NCAA's.
- The team competes again on Friday when they host the St. Olaf Invitational.
