Men's Cross Country
- The St. Olaf men's cross country team was sixth at the Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday, led by Doboul Ruon's sixth place run in 26:08... The Oles' Cullen O'Neill was next for the Oles, crossing the line in 27:02 (14th overall).

- St. Olaf was ranked 25th in the USTFCCA Division III National Poll on Sept. 10... The Oles were third among Central Region foes and first among MIAC schools in the poll.

- The Oles host the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Women's Cross Country
- St. Olaf was fourth in Grinnell's 24-team Les Duke Invitational on Saturday... The Oles were three points from second place and two points from third.

- Annie Knutson was the Oles' top runner, finishing tenth (23:26), while Jenna Carlson was 16th (23:45)... St. Olaf had five others within 44 seconds of each other (24:17-25:01), finishing 28th, 44th, 46th, 53rd and 55th.

- The Oles host the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Football
- St. Olaf moved to 2-0 with a 17-0 win over visiting Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday... The shutout was the first since a 49-0 win over Augsburg in 2005.

- Coty Watkins rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown for the Oles... Watkins now 18 rushing touchdowns, good for fifth all-time with Bob Klefsaas '82, in 12 career games at St. Olaf.

- The Oles had a team-best eight receptions from fellow running back Evan Endsley... Endsley now has 99 career receptions, which ties him with Preston St. John '08 for sixth all-time at St. Olaf.

- St. Olaf punter Matt Nelson was named the MIAC's Special Teams Player of the Week, after averaging 46.5 yards/punt in the Oles' win over PLU... Nelson knocked three inside the Lutes' 20-yardline.

- St. Olaf hosts the University of St. Thomas on Saturday at 1 p.m... The game can be heard on 920 AM KDHL (Northfield-Owatonna-Faribault) or seen and heard live via the St. Olaf Athletics Website.

Men's Golf
- The St. Olaf men's golf team finished 15th at the SJU Invitational on Sunday in Sartell, Minn... The event was first scheduled as a two-day event, but play on Saturday was canceled by rain.

- The Oles top scorer was Bror Herrick... Herrick fired a six-over 78, which was good for 28th in the 19-team event.

- St. Olaf hosts the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Summit Golf Club in Cannon Falls this weekend... Some Oles will also compete at the Blugold Invite in Eau Claire, Wis.

Women's Golf
- The St. Olaf women's golf team was sixth at the 15-team DIII Midwest Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minn.

- Britta Hendrickson shot rounds of 82 and 80 to finish fifth (tie) in the event... Hendrickson has averaged 84.0 strokes/round in the Oles' three events this fall.

- St. Olaf is off until next month's MIAC Championships at Bunker Hills Golf Course, Oct. 5-7.

Men's Soccer
- The St. Olaf men's soccer won its fourth straight with a 6-0 win over Saint Mary's University in the team's MIAC opener on Saturday.

-John Zietlow had his second hat trick in the last three games in the win... Zietlow has at least a point in each of the Oles' first five games (eight goals, two assists) and has nearly reached his goal output from 2007 (nine goals).

- The Oles' 4-1-0 start is their best since 2002 (4-1-0).

- St. Olaf hosts IIAC foe Wartburg College on Wednesday and returns to MIAC play with a home match against Macalester College on Saturday.

Women's Soccer
- The St. Olaf women's soccer team went 1-1-0 last week, falling at WIAC power Wis.-Eau Claire 8-2 before an MIAC-opening 3-0 win over Saint Mary's on Saturday.

- The Oles scoring punch continues to come from its first year group... First year Lindsay Howard played a role in all three goals in the win at SMU - with two goals and an assist - to take the team lead for points (13 - six goals, one assist)... Fellow rookies Ellie Steiner (12 - five goals, two assists) and Catie Christoffel (8 - four goals) are second and third.

- St. Olaf hosts Wartburg College on Wednesday before a Saturday night MIAC match at Macalester at 7:30 p.m.

Volleyball
- The St. Olaf volleyball lost three of four at the College of Saint Benedict Invitational this weekend to fall to 9-3... The Oles lost in three sets to host Saint Ben's, in four to Wis.-Eau Claire and in five to Hamline University.

- The Oles' Jess Levin was named to the event's all-tournament team, her second straight all-tournament honor after last weekend's nod at Wis.-River Falls.

- St. Olaf opens MIAC play at defending regular-season champion St. Thomas on Wednesday... The Oles then host the College of St. Catherine on Friday at 7:30 p.m... Friday's match with St. Kate's can be seen live via the St. Olaf Athletics website.
