Men's Cross Country
- The St. Olaf men's cross country, ranked 35th in the latest USTFCCCA Poll, was ninth at the Jim Drews Invitational on Saturday in La Crosse, Wis... Dubuol Ruon was 18th overall in the 25-team field to lead the Oles, who were third among Division III and first of seven MIAC schools in the event.

- Cullen O'Neill and David Green were the team's second and third-best runners in the race.

- St. Olaf is off until the Nov. 1 MIAC Championships.

Women's Cross Country
- The St. Olaf women's cross country team was tenth at Wis.-La Crosse's Tori Neubauer Invitational on Saturday... Annie Knutson was the team's top runner in the race, finishing 18th... Jenna Carlson was next for the Oles, finishing 29th.

- The Oles, ranked 29th in the latest poll, were fifth among Division III schools in Saturday's race and tops among MIAC institutions.

- St. Olaf is off until the Nov. 1 MIAC Championships in St. Paul.

Football
- St. Olaf (3-3, 1-3 MIAC) was idle last week.

- The Oles, 2-1 at home this season, host Saint John's University on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Men's Soccer
- The St. Olaf men's soccer (9-5-0, 4-3-0 MIAC) extended its winning streak to three with a 1-0 win over Gustavus on Saturday.

- Nate Swenson scored in the fifth minute in Saturday's win, the team's first over Gustavus since 2003... Swenson's game-winner came 4:06 into the game as he took a cross from John Zietlow and headed it into the back of the net... Zietlow (11 goals, seven assists) and Swenson (five goals, five assists) are one-two on the team in goals, assists and points.

- St. Olaf plays at the University of St. Thomas on Wednesday before a Saturday home match with Hamline.

Women's Soccer
- The St. Olaf women's soccer team (7-6-1, 4-2-1 MIAC) was idle this week.

- The Oles, who are tied for third in the MIAC in the loss column with four games left, play at Gustavus on Wednesday... On Saturday, the team plays at Hamline.

Volleyball
- The St. Olaf volleyball team (17-10, 3-4 MIAC) lost its only match of the week, a five-set road game at Augsburg on Wednesday.

- Kim Smisek had 20 kills to lead the Oles who had a 31-match winning-streak, dating to Sept. 25, 1989, against Augsburg stopped with the loss.

- With the loss, the Oles also snapped a five-game winning streak and are now 4-7 in five-set and 1-6 in road matches (excluding neutral site).

- St. Olaf plays at Macalester on Wednesday before hosting Bethel on Friday.
