This will be Doug Tate''s tenth season with the St Olaf's soccer coaching staff.

Tate graduated from St Olaf in 1970 and continued his education at the University of Minnesota Medical and Graduate Schools were he received both his MD and Ph'D degrees. Presently he is a senior member in a large private pediatric practice in the Twin Cities.

Tate has had a full spectrum of soccer coaching experiences for over 25 years. He presently holds a USSF National and NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Licenses. He continues to enjoy coming back to St Olaf and volunteering his time on the soccer field outside of his medical practice.

In addition to coaching soccer at St Olaf, Tate also co-developed and co-instructs in the St Olaf Interim course: Peruvian Medical Experience. Here he takes 16-18 St Olaf students on a medical/dental mission to Peru, There they provide medical and dental care to 5 orphanages in Cusco and the Willoq community near Machu Picchu.

Doug and his wife Cory live in Prior Lake and have two sons Chris ('06) and Alax, a recent graduate from Gustavus Adolphus Collage.
