As a hockey player, Mark graduated from Irondale High School in 2002 where he played for Bazzachini for three seasons. His work ethic both on and off the ice were unmatched and he was rewarded by leading his team in goals scored as a senior.
While attending the University of Minnesota’s IT program, Mark started his coaching career in the Irondale youth hockey program. He served as the Director of the boys program for three seasons. His duties included coordinating and conducting youth try outs, selection and development of youth coaches, and the development of skills for the entire youth program. In addition, he also coached their A Bantams.
Mark graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2006 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
