Patrick Wadzinski is in his fourth season at St. Olaf in 2012-13. He is the program's hitting coach and recruiting coordinator.

During his tenure as assistant coach, the Oles have amassed the most wins in three consecutive seasons (52) since 1996-98 when they finished first, third and second in conference play. In 2010, St. Olaf qualified for the MIAC playoffs for the first time since the event's inception in 2000.

Wadzinski was a four-year starter for the St. Olaf baseball team from 2005-2009 and was named the team's captain in 2009. He was team MVP in his senior season (2009) and was named third-team All-Midwest Region during a season where he hit .362 with eight stolen bases, 41 runs, two homers, and a .986 fielding percentage. Wadzinski holds St. Olaf baseball's single-season walks record with 36 in 2009, a season in which he struck out only eight times in 189 plate appearances.

He also played football at St. Olaf, where he was a placekicker in 2009. He was a perfect 12-for-12 on extra points and was 3-for-7 on field goals tallying 21 points.

A native of Hastings, Minn., Wadzinski works at Aurora Pharmaceutical, a veterinary pharmaceutical company in Northfield. He also assists the sports information department at the college.
