Mike Ludwig is in his eighth year as Sports Information Director and Assistant Athletic Director at St. Olaf in 2011-12. He handles all of the college's media relations for the 27 intercollegiate programs which includes website, photography, statistics, media relations, programs, season guides and live audio/video and feature video.
St. Olaf hosted three NCAA Division III Championships under Ludwig's watch - 2005 Wrestling, 2006 Indoor Track and Field and 2007 Cross Country. He has added major platforms to the office since his arrival in 2004-05 including live play-by-play audio in 2004-05, season guides in 2005-06, live video in 2008-09 and Video Features in 2009-10 and has eight CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) publication awards to his credit:

As Assistant AD, Ludwig serves as event manager for football, directs the department's annual golf fund raising event and assists with the department's day-to-day operations and compliance. In 2009-10, he joined the school's women's basketball coaching staff and will be in his third season with the team in 2011-12.
He is a 2003 graduate of St. Olaf, where he earned seven varsity letters - three in baseball and four in basketball. In basketball he was a four-time MVP, a three-time All-MIAC pick and is second all-time in scoring (1,635). He played on four MIAC championship baseball teams - regular season in 2000, 2001, 2002 and tournament in 2003 - and was team MVP, an All-MIAC and First Team All-Midwest Region selection as a senior. He was a .339 career hitter with 12 homers in three seasons.
Ludwig was a 37th-round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2003. He played for two seasons in the Dodgers' farm system, hitting a combined .235 with the Gulf Coast Dodgers(R) and the Ogden Raptors(R-Ad), primarily as a first and third baseman. Ludwig and his wife Audrey, who in 2010 became the head volleyball coach at Hamline University, live in Northfield.
