Photography/Digital Media Specialist (2)-----------
The St. Olaf Sports Information Department seeks two student work photographers/graphic designers for the 2008 spring semester and into the 2008-09 school year. The positions will be responsible for all aspects of photography and digital media for the Sports Information Office. Duties include, but are not limited to: taking and editing photographs at games, practices and events using the department’s CanonD30 digital camera (lenses: f/2.8 Fisheye 12-24mm, EF400mm f/2.8, and f/2.0 135mm) or NikonD70 digital camera (lenses: AF-S 70-205mm f/2.8G), working on a variety of print media with Quark software and other tasks, including web design, as assigned. Experience with advanced camera equipment, Photoshop, Quark or other publishing software preferred, but not necessary. Work will be used on the St. Olaf Athletics Website, game programs, season media guides, other department publications, local area newsprint publications and Internet news sources. Superior organizational and task oriented skills are required. Work with publishing software a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: season previews, features, game recaps, online biographies and hometown release writing. Positions will work varied hours, during and after events. Project management on one of the department’s publications could also be included. Superior writing skills a must. Experience with Dreamweaver or other web editing software a plus, but not necessary. Superior organizational and task oriented skills are required.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:
- All facets of the St. Olaf Athletics Website: News, notes, recaps, box scores, results, statistics, records, history, coaching and student-athlete bios.
- Game/event recaps with results and/or box scores within 20 minutes of the end of a home event or when information is received from host institution.
- Season guides for the ten team sports (Football, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Baseball, Softball).
- Game programs for the ten team sports and other meets and events as needed.
- All photography needs of the department.
- All statistics the NCAA and MIAC require.
- Media relations for athletics department.
- Broadcast, webcast for selected events.
