Dan Hagen

Head Athletic Trainer, St. Olaf College - 19th Year

Hagen, a native of Elmore, Ohio, earned his bachelor's and master's from MSU-Mankato where he spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.

He began his career with a five-year stint as athletic trainer and a health educator in San Antonio before moving north. He was the head men's AT at UW-Whitewater before taking over at St. Olaf in 1987.

Hagen is an active member in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA), and the Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association (MATA). He was MATA Past President-Elect (1996-98) and Past-President (1998-2000).

He served as the head AT at three NCAA Championships hosted at St. Olaf - 2002 Division III Cross Country, 2005 Division III wrestling and 2006 Division III Indoor Track - and has assisted at many others.

Dan and his wife Shari reside in Northfield with three of their four children - Bekki '06, Kevin and Bethany. Their oldest son Keith now lives in Minneapolis. His wife, Summer, is '03 St. Olaf graduate.
