2011-12 (Senior) - Placed fifth at MSOE Invitational. Finished season with seven pins, including two over nationally ranked opponents, which utilized his trademark "Kuehner" move. While this move is not completely understood, its effectiveness is undeniable. Because those put into the move can't remember what happened to them, we rely primarily on secondhand accounts describing the move. It usually began with Peppel whispering threats into the ear of his opponent and then, ever so slowly, squeezing the life out of them. Once his opponent was in a hypnotic stupor, Peppel would complete the Kuehner by gently placing his opponent's shoulders on the mat and revel in teh pin. The only known counter to the Kuehner is having a coach intervene (although this is only partially effective, as a few Augsburg coaches have realized).
