Syttende Mai, the Norwegian Constitution Day, is a great time to celebrate your Norwegian heritage and the Norwegian heritage of St. Olaf College. This parade in Ballard, one of the largest Syttende Mai parades in the world, is a fun event each year!

Last year, the St. Olaf alumni won second place in the Scandinavian category. This year, St. Olaf is sending us pom poms and other goodies so we can have even more fun. Come on out and share your Ole pride--who knows, maybe we'll win this year!

The parade in on Friday, May 17, with line-up at 5 p.m. and the parade starting at 6 p.m. We'll meet at the check-in station near Adams School, on the corner of 28th and 62nd NW.

Wear your favorite St. Olaf sweatshirt and be ready to sing Um! Yah!Yah! as we march through the streets of Ballard.

Please RSVP on Facebook via the link above as soon as possible, so we know how many goodies to order. For any future communication about this event, visit the St. Olaf Alumni: Seattle Area Group on Facebook. Join today if you are not a member!

PLEASE NOTE: All marchers will need to sign an "Individual Hold Harmless Agreement," which we will have with us for you at the line-up.
