Denver "We Care" Packaging Event

Remember how special and fun it was to receive a package in your student PO box when you were at college? Do you still get a smile on your face when you receive an unexpected package? If so, then you will want to join us for a fun service event which will bring smiles and joy to the St. Olaf campus. Alumni, parents and friends of St. Olaf are invited to come together to make a "Colorado Care Package" filled with sweet treats and a special handwritten note, for the 68 St. Olaf students who hail from Colorado!

Get into the fall spirit by mixing up a batch of cookies or buying some treats, joining us in packaging up the goodies, and gathering with other Oles, parents and fans of St. Olaf College for a morning of fun and fellowship! (You might even hear some familiar St. Olaf songs in the background!!)

If you cannot attend, but would still like to help you can: 1) contribute money toward the mailing costs or 2) bake or buy treats and drop them off on Friday, November 13, to local volunteer Robin Woolums at 1409 S. Pennsylvania Street, Denver, CO 80210.

The gathering is on Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 10 a.m. - noon at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Avenue, Cherry Hills Village. The cost is $15 (to cover the cost of mailing a package to St. Olaf).
