Students from 8-12 courses with an academic civic engagement component will be sharing their projects. Refreshments will be served.
Academic civic engagement is an approach to teaching and learning that encourages students to learn in the community and to apply academic concepts to address community issues as an integrated component of an academic course. It includes approaches commonly referred to as community-based research, service-learning, public scholarship and community-based learning.
