Cello: An American Experience is a premier international summer academy open to aspiring young cellists ages 15-22.ļ¾ During the two weeks of July 22-August 5, 2012 we offer opportunities for students to study with fine teachers and cellists, gain performance experience, and attend group lessons and master classes. We are very excited to be able to add a Recital Series to our academy this year. All recitals will be open to the general public.
Join us on Tuesday, July 24nd for an evening of music and learning as we hear from Minnesota cellist Laura Sewell about her experiences with her former teacher, Jacqueline duPre. Ms. Sewell studied with duPre in London and will share her insight on the life and teachings of duPre by presenting a masterclass featuring student performances of the Elgar Cello Concerto.
$15 Adults/$10 Seniors/$5 Students (or donation)
