Preparing Today’s Students to Address Tomorrow’s World

For more than 120 years, the University of Minnesota Law School has been a pioneer in legal education and research. A top public law school in a vibrant, urban setting, we offer students access to a world-class faculty, an innovative curriculum, unmatched clinical practice and experiential learning opportunities, and a network of dedicated alumni around the world.

Our faculty are passionate about their research and committed to integrating theory and practice in their teaching. They are demanding in the classroom but eager to mentor and readily available to help students develop their own paths to success.

As part of a broad curriculum-reform effort, we offer a wide range of practical and hands-on learning opportunities, including:

An award-winning legal writing program One of the nation’s largest and finest live-client clinic programs New multidisciplinary capstone courses with extensive simulation opportunities Exciting judicial and corporate externship programs A broad range of moot court programs and student-run law journals

The Law School is focused on our students’ futures. Our bar passage and employment rates are among the highest in the nation. Our alumni, who occupy leading positions in law, business, government, and the non-profit sector throughout the country and around the world, are actively involved with helping today’s students.
