To “kick off” the college theme year of 'Innovation in the Liberal Arts' we have put together a panel of experts:
* Jim Collins, Virginia M. Ullman Professor of Natural History and Environment at University of Michigan.
* Susannah Ottaway, History Department Professor and Chair and, Director of Humanities Center, Carleton College
* Gary Smaby '71, Managing Director and VC-in-Residence at the Carlson School of Management’s Ventures Enterprise MBA program at the University of Minnesota
* Kathy Tegtmeyer Pak, Associate Professor of Political Science/Asian Studies at St. Olaf College will be the moderator.
These faculty/practitioners from across the U.S. have been selected for their roles in developing and sustaining innovative programs. Our intention is that this panel will provide a forum for cross-disciplinary discussions and be a catalyst for renewed creative thinking and activity among our faculty.
