Description

Your academic achievement suggests that you might be a very strong candidate for a Fulbright Scholarship.

The Fulbright Scholarship Program is among the most prestigious international post-graduate scholarship programs available to U.S. undergraduates. The majority of Fulbright scholars conduct career-launching study and research in another country, in affiliation with a university or NGO, while others spend their Fulbright year abroad teaching English. Both types of Fulbright awards provide a travel allowance and generous stipend for the year.

St. Olaf has produced many Fulbright Scholars over the years (including 9 grantees each of the last two years) and has been recognized as a Top Producer of U.S. Student Fulbrights. This success is a tribute to the excellent student-scholars who make up the St. Olaf community. It is also a result of hard work by a group of dedicated faculty.

You can learn more by attending one of two upcoming information sessions:
Wednesday, April 10th and Thursday, April 11th
6:00-7:00 p.m., RNS 150

I will provide an overview of the Fulbright Program and the application process. Some of the seniors who have been selected as Fulbright Finalists will be on hand to answer questions and share a little information about their Fulbright projects. I will also give a brief overview of some of the other post-graduate programs that might be of interest to you, namely, the Rhodes Scholarship and Marshall Scholarship.

You can find out more about these and other opportunities by visiting:
St. Olaf's Fulbright Information Page
U.S Student Fulbright Program
Postgraduate National & International Scholarships and Fellowships

If you’re unable to attend either of these sessions but would like to be added to the Fulbright Interest email alias, just let me know (grossd@stolaf.edu). I hope to see or hear from you soon!

Sincerely,

Dana Gross, Ph.D.
Professor of Psychology
Fulbright Program Advisor and Coordinator of Postgraduate Fellowships
