Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) March 21-23, 2014

What is CGI U? The Clinton Global Initiative University is a three day event convened each year by President Bill Clinton. The mission of CGI U calls upon college students, university presidents, and leaders of the nonprofit community to address global challenges in the areas of education, environment, and climate change, peace and human rights, poverty alleviation, and public health. Throughout the year, and as a prerequisite of attending the CGI U meeting, students develop their own Commitments to Action: a specific plan of action that addresses a pressing challenge on their campus, in their community, or in a different part of the world.
