This publication is intended as a supplement to A World of Possibilities: The St. Olaf College 1996-97 Academic Catalog. It in no way replaces that document. A student admitted to St. Olaf College is considered a degree candidate and registers under the regulations and degree requirements listed in the catalog for the academic year the student first enters St. Olaf as a degree candidate. Degree candidate students first entering St. Olaf after May 1994 will pursue degrees under the graduation requirements listed in A World of Possibilities: The St. Olaf College 1996-97 Academic Catalog. Responsibility for understanding and meeting Graduation Requirements stated in A World of Possibilities: The St. Olaf College 1996-97 Academic Catalog rests entirely with the student.
Detailed information on general academic policies and procedures of St. Olaf College may be found in The Book: The St. Olaf Student Planner and Official Handbook, the official source of information on academic regulations and registration policies at the college. The Book: The St. Olaf Student Planner and Official Handbook is published each fall and distributed to all students and faculty. Additional copies of this publication are available free of charge from the Office of the Registrar or the Office of the Dean of Students. Students are responsible for adherence to information in The Book: The St. Olaf Student Planner and Official Handbook.
The college reserves the right to make changes that seem necessary or desirable, including course and program cancellations.
