The 2007 St. Olaf Christmas Festival
Check your local PBS listings for telecast dates and times in your area.PBS will air a new one-hour Christmas special, Christmas at St. Olaf: Where Peace and Love and Hope Abide, as part of its national holiday programming. Produced by Twin Cities Public Television (TPT), the program will rerun several times throughout the holiday season.
In the Twin Cities metropolitan area, Christmas at St. Olaf will premiere Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m. (CST) on TPT 2. The holiday special also will air Monday, Dec. 24, at 8 p.m. (CST) and Tuesday, Dec. 25, at 10 a.m. (CST) on TPT 2.A St. Olaf Christmas in Norway
Filmed in Trondheim’s historic Gothic church, this 2005 PBS Christmas special showcases the St. Olaf Choir and the Nidaros Cathedral Girls Choir. A St. Olaf Christmas in Norway will air in the Twin Cities on Christmas Eve at 10 p.m. (CST) and Christmas Day at 8 a.m. on TPT 2.Simulcast on TV
TPT also will broadcast the two-hour simulcast version of the 2007 Christmas Festival on channel 2 (plus two of TPT's HD channels) on Sunday, Dec. 23, noon to 2 p.m.
RADIO BROADCASTS
Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) will present a live broadcast of the St. Olaf Christmas Festival on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3:30 p.m. You can also hear an encore broadcast on Friday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. That's on all of Minnesota Public Radio's regional stations including 99.5 KSJN in the Twin Cities.
