DIRECTOR, FLATEN ART MUSEUM
Jill Ewald serves as Director of Flaten Art Museum at St. Olaf College. Following studies in Minnesota, Mississippi, and Germany, she earned a B.A. from St. Olaf College and a M.F.A. in visual art from the Vermont College. Ewald has exhibited in local, regional, national and international venues.
Ewald has received cash awards and juror's awards, as well as Career Opportunity Grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council. She served on the Artists Panel, MAEP, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and is a member of the Association of College and University Museums and Galleries; the American Association of Museums, and the Upper Midwest Conservation Association. She has experience as artist-in-residence and regularly serves as juror, critic, and lecturer in painting and on Museum issues.
