Bibliographic Resources Beyond the Library
The Kierkegaard Library can obtain materials which are not in its collections through cooperation with Minitex, the interlibrary network for the state of Minnesota. Interlibrary loan service is available thanks to the assistance of Rolvaag Memorial Library at St. Olaf. Materials not available at Carleton College (also in Northfield) or the University of Minnesota are obtained from other collections further away.
Access to indexes are available through the St. Olaf libraries, some in paper form and others in electronic form. Electronic journal databases (such as JSTOR) are available to patrons of the Kierkegaard Library with some materials available in full-text. A helpful reference is "Web Sites for Philosophy" through the St. Olaf Libraries web site.
The World Wide Web offers access to other collections in the world, such as the Kierkegaard collection at the Royal Library. See Related Links for Danish resources and related sites.
For detailed references to ongoing Kierkegaard bibliography from 1979 to 2005, see the International Kierkegaard Newsletter.
Dr. Julia Watkin also maintains a web site entitled "Kierkegaard Resources Worldwide" Her recent book, Historical Dictionary of Kierkegaard's Philosophy, published as No. 33 in the series Historical Dictionaries of Religions, Philosophies, and Movements, by Scarecrow Press, Lanham, Maryland in 2001 is likewise extremely helpful in locating Kierkegaard bibliography of all kinds.
