The Søren Kierkegaard Research Centre:
Objectives: New opportunities for interpreting Kierkegaard's
philosophy of existence. Danmarks Grundforskningsfond has awarded
a grant of 27 million crowns covering the next five years to a
new centre located in and hosted by Copenhagen University's
Theology Faculty. The planning of the centre has been done by
Niels Jørgen Cappelørn from the Danish Bible
Society and Asst. Prof. Joakim Garff from the university. The
centre will be directed by Niels Jørgen Cappelørn
and will be a universal meeting point for Danish and foreign
Kierkegaard scholars; its main objective will be research into
several central and topical spheres in Kierkegaard's theology,
ethics and philosophy. A major task will be the creation of a new
annotated edition of Kierkegaard's collected works and posthumous
papers, including his journals.
Howard and Edna Hong Kierkegaard Library, St. Olaf College,
Northfield, Minnesota (N p 96): Again a reminder about
Kierkegaard Library Summer Fellowships: free room and a stipend
of $250 a month for food, for up to 8 weeks' study in the summer
between June 15 and August 15. To apply, please send a letter
describing the proposed project, saying when you would wish to
come and include a curriculum vitae or description of

Applications should be made as early as possible and not later
than April 1. Like the Dept. of Kierkegaard Research at
Copenhagen University, the Hong Kierkegaard Centre is a
well-established institution attracting scholars from all over
the world. The Hong Kierkegaard Library is also sponsoring
an email bulletin board called KIERKEGAARD. For details about

discussing themes from Kierkegaard's Anti-Climacus writings: The
Sickness unto Death. Meetings held on Fridays (see IKN p 96) in

starts 1.10.93. It is planned to read from Kierkegaard's Works
