a. Creating more flexibility in the College calendar for programs that regularly depart
from the standard calendar (i.e. nursing, teacher's ed.).
b. Revising New Course proposal forms
c. Drawing up standards for granting College credit for coursework completed in high school or through other off-campus programs.
d. Drawing up new time limits for drop/add petitions.
e. Establishing guidelines for granting Foreign Language credit (FOL) for non-native English speakers fluent in a language not offered at St. Olaf.
f. Approval of the College Calendar.
After a brief discussion, the Committee decided first to address the proposed revisions of the New Course Proposal form. Mary Cisar agreed to send the Committee a draft of the new forms for its perusal, so that it may consider it for the next meeting.
