Hispanic Studies Major

Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will demonstrate:

  1. acquisition of foundational knowledge relating to historical, political, social, geographic, and economic conditions in the Spanish-speaking world (Spain, Latin America and Hispanics in the United States).
  2. critical analysis of ideas, evidence, and arguments relating to topics relevant to the Spanish-speaking world.
  3. sufficient written and oral proficiency in Spanish to research, discuss and write about topics relevant to the Spanish-speaking world.
