Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will demonstrate:

  1. the ability to systematically and effectively identify, access, evaluate and use information.
  2. an understanding of underlying and varying methods for research in different academic fields, and successful application of these methods in their major field(s).
  3. an understanding that knowledge is created by individuals in conversation and that they, themselves, are also participants in that conversation.
  4. an appreciation of libraries as both collections of, and portals to, information, and of librarians as resources and facilitators in those contexts.
