Minutes of the FDC Meeting November 18, 2004

Present: Shelly Dickinson, Jeanine Grenberg, Kris MacPherson, Arnie Ostebee, David Schodt, and Bill Thornton.

  1. Released Time Grants were discussed.
  2. It was agreed that an additional meeting of the FDC prior to the semester's end is warranted in order for the committee to discuss the criteria for various grants. In addition to the scheduled meeting December 10, an additional meeting will take place on either December 3 or December 17; the date will be decided after consultation with all members of the committee.

    The agenda at the first of the December meetings will be to discuss the criteria for Scholarly & Artistic Activity summer grants and to continue our discussion of the NEH Summer Stipends. At the second meeting criteria for Curricular Development grants and ACM FaCE grants will be discussed, along with the general guidelines for FDC grants.
