GEC Minutes 9/1/05

GEC members present: Karl Fink (chair, HUM); Terry Fitzgerald (SSF); Kathy Shea (NSM); Sherry Saterstrom (FA); Chris Chiappari (IGS)

Visitors: Jo Beld, Office of Academic Research and Planning

The inaugural meeting for the 2005-06 academic year was called to order at 2:05 p.m. Karl Fink has agreed to act as chair of the committee. The committee welcomes new members Kathy Shea and Sherry Saterstrom.

The tentative meeting schedule for the year is as follows:

February 8, 22
March 8, 22
April 5, 19
May 3, 17

All meetings will be held in Buntrock Room 220 and will start at 3:45 until further notice.

Jo Beld discussed a series of 2005-06 assessment initiatives being pursued by the college. She is seeking volunteers to serve on groups associated with these initiatives.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for September 14.
