Minutes of the December 7, 2006 GEC Meeting
GEC members present: Sherry Satersrom (chair, FA), Katherine Baker (Registrars office, ex-officio), Karl Fink (HUM), Elizabeth Leer (SSF), Anne Sabo (IGS), Kathy Shea (NSM), Solveig Zempel (Associate Dean, IGS), Maren Anderson (student).
The meeting was called to order at 4:15 p.m.
Minutes from the November 30 meeting were approved as revised.
Dana Gross, Chair of the psychology department, and psychology faculty visited with the committee to clarify their re-certification proposals.
The committee considered the following re-certification proposals and took the indicated action:
Psychology
Action: Courses approved for SED and IST
American Racial and Multicultural Studies
Action: Course approved for ALS-L
Chemistry
Action: Courses approved for SED and IST
The Committee considered the following new course proposal and took the indicated action:
Education 377: NYC Education Practicum
Approved for MCS-D
