International and Domestic Off-Campus Studies Committee
Minutes of the Tuesday, December 13th, 2006 IDOCS meeting at 3:30 p.m. in BC146
Present: Kathy Tuma (IOS Associate Director), Solveig Zempel (IGS Dean Representative), Eric Lund (IOS Director), Karil Kucera (IDOCS committee Member), Jeane Delaney (IDOCS Chair), Katherine Baker (ex-officio Registrar's representative), Dona Freeman (IDOCS committee member).
1. Meeting began at 3:15 p.m. The November 15th, 2006 Minutes were approved.
2. Report from Eric Lund
____A. No change in courses for the Tanzania program.
____B. The HECUA Interim program in Bangladesh was cancelled.
_________i. HECUA is offering a replacement program in Ecuador. This program has been ___________offered before under similar circumstances.
_________ii. The committee approved the HECUA program in Ecuador for this Interim as a ___________one-time 2007 offering.
3. Jeane Delaney suggested to CEPC that there be some forums (fora?) on the reconstruction of committees.
4. Jeane also mentioned that the Hispanic Studies faculty had looked at and approved 2 (Pilot?) programs to send on to IOS and then IDOCS: One in Chile and one in Argentina.
The committee reviewed Interim 2008 new and former programs. List is attached.
