The Student Life Committee is concerned with the quality of the learning and living environment at St. Olaf College; its primary function is advisory.

Personnel:

  • Five faculty representatives, one from each of the Faculties, elected by the faculty as a whole
  • Five student representatives selected through a process outlined in the Student Government Association Bylaws
  • MIAC representative, elected by the faculty as a whole
  • The Dean of Students, or a designated representative
  • The Vice President and Dean of Enrollment, or a designated representative

Terms of Office: The faculty representatives serve two-year, staggered terms. The student representatives serve one-year terms.The MIAC representative serves a six-year term. The committee is chaired by one of its faculty representatives. The Chair must be tenured and may not serve as Chair for more than two years per term of service.
