MACO Purpose

St. Olaf College recognizes the need to provide through various services and programs specifically designed to support students from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds, who may at times experience a sense of isolation. With a strong commitment to community life and diversity, one of the main challenges of the college is to increase representation from various under-represented ethnic communities.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Community Outreach (MACO) is structured to help meet this challenge by working with the entire community to achieve a heightened awareness and appreciation of cultural, social and ethnic differences.

Expressions

The Multicultural Affairs newsletter, Expressions, will be published bi-monthly during the 2008-09 academic year. We strive to highlight some of the activities, celebrations, and events happening in MACO as well as highlight current students and an alum each month.
