Urban Studies in Chicago is an opportunity for people to participate in a course called Core. In this course students will take class in Chicago and you will gain first hand experience through discussions, public speakers, and meeting with community groups. St. Olaf College's Lily Endowment Program is providing Summer Vocational Community Internships. Interns work with Minneapolis and St. Paul urban areas churches that are particularly active in their communities, and interns will receive a stipend of $2,000. Minnesota Department of Human Services Executive Pathways Internship Program has PAID internships beginning in the end or May or beginning of June 2007. Each internship is designed to provide in-depth learning opportunities in a state government setting. AAAS Minority Science Writers Internship. Experience what it's like to cover the scientific and technological issues that shape our global community. The program is a paid, 10-week experience under the guidance of the weekly magazine's award-winning staff of professional science writers and editors. The internship is open to any minority undergraduate with a serious interest in science writing. DEADLINE: March 1, 2007 A telephone interview will be conducted with semi-finalists in March. Partners Internship Program (PIP) has 20 paid summer Internships available, which allow students to have a valuable contribution to the nonprofit's mission and provides valuable skills and experience for working in the nonprofit sector. Internships are with organizations located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. Positions are 400 hours, approximately 10 weeks full-time; wage is $9.25 per hour.
