Services
Multicultural Affairs and Community Outreach, with the support of St. Olaf College, offers a wide variety of support services for students.
- Book Voucher System:
We have a library of textbooks available for multicultural students.
- Emergency Loans:
We may be able to help you if a financial emergency arises. Contact us.
- Liaison: You can come to us for help working out conflicts with students, faculty, and/or members of the administration.
- Career & Graduate Opportunity Information:
The opportunities web page lists job opportunities, study abroad programs, fellowships, internships, scholarships, graduate programs and other opportunities that are updated semimonthly.
- Counseling & Advising:
There are many challenges both academic and personal that are faced by students at St. Olaf. We'll do our best to help you in any way we can.
- Alumni & Peer Mentoring Program: A program developed to promote academic success and personal development for students of color through personal advising and planned activities.
- Maximizing Opportunities for Staff to Achieve an Inclusive Campus (MOSAIC):
A program to stimulate discussion, develop understanding and encourage students to explore issues surrounding race & ethnicity.
- Week One Activities:
Includes a reception for new and returning multicultural students.
- Monthly Newsletter:
The MACO Newsletter, Expressions, highlights events, students, and activities coordinated by the office.
- Coordination of Cultural Celebrations
- Outreach Support for Admissions & Financial Aid
- Outreach Liaison with St. Olaf Communities and the Surrounding Areas
