Welcome to SOLGEN
SOLGEN, the St. Olaf College Lesbian and Gay Employee Network, is an organization that promotes respect for all members of the St. Olaf College community, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
SOLGEN is an organization of St. Olaf College, a place characterized by both faith and critical thinking, global perspectives and local traditions, service to others and personal reflection.
For those GLBT persons who may sometimes experience a sense of isolation, SOLGEN invites you to be a part of this inclusive, nurturing community. As stated in the St Olaf Mission Statement, the college community both respects and appreciates those of different backgrounds and beliefs.
For all who wish to increase their awareness about GLBT issues, SOLGEN invites you to engage your mind and learn about the lives of GLBT persons, the discrimination they face, and the best ways to advocate for change.
For all who wish to voice their support for the GLBT community, SOLGEN invites you to become an ally and stand together with many others against injustice.
