Registration

Admission by Audition
The academy is open to high school students who have completed grades 8-12 and is by audition only.  To apply, submit the registration form, piano teacher reference form, $100 deposit and an audition recording (CD or cassette) by April 2.  The recording should be about 10 minutes in length and include two pieces in contrasting style.  Notification of acceptance will be emailed April 18.  Students not admitted to the academy will receive a full refund of the deposit.  If you charge the deposit and are accepted the remaining fees will be processed on May 1.

Fees

Residential
The residential fee includes housing in a college dormitory, all meals from Sunday dinner through Saturday lunch, class instruction and materials, two half-hour private lessons and an academy t-shirt.
$695 - When complete registration is received by April 2.

Commuters
Students interested in participating as a non-residential student should contact the academy office at summer@stolaf.edu prior to submitting an application or by calling our office at (507)-786-3042.

Optional Lesson Package
Two half-hour private lessons are included with each student's registration. You may register for an optional package of another 2 private lessons.

Transportation Fees
St. Olaf College is located in historic Northfield, Minnesota, about 40 miles south of the Twin Cities. Since many campers come from out of state, we provide a shuttle service to and from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International airport. Campers who make reservations will be met inside the airport by camp staff. Shuttle reservation forms will be sent to all out-of-state campers. Reservations must be made two weeks prior to camp start.

Airport to St. Olaf
$ Saturday, June: shuttle, housing, pizza dinner/continental breakfast, 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.
$ Sunday, June: shuttle only, 10:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. pick-up

St. Olaf to Airport
$ Saturday, June: shuttle only, 5:30 p.m. departure
$ Sunday, June: housing and shuttle only, 7:00 a.m. departure

Campers traveling as unaccompanied minors needing St. Olaf staff participation will incur additional fees. Please call the academy office for more information.

The shuttle request form. This form will be used by students attending the piano academy and the summer music camp.

Refund Policy
Written cancellation recieved by May 1 will receive a refund less a $100 non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be made after May 1.
