St. Olaf College and the Northfield Allina Medical Clinic present annual psychology conferences for continuing professional development. These conferences are held at St. Olaf College and feature nationally recognized professionals who address topics that are important to you today. All conferences provide continuing education credits.


Treating Anxiety Disorders in
Children and Adolescents
April 10 and 11, 2008

presented by Reid Wilson, Ph.D.

Anxiety disorders are the most common psychiatric illnesses affecting children and are frequently misinterpreted as behavior problems. Participants will learn how to apply effective cognitive and behavioral treatments for anxiety in the classroom, clinic, home and community.  Dr. Wilson will outline evidence-based, step-by-step procedures of proven treatment methods for separation anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.  The skills will be structured around a universal treatment strategy and a prescriptive approach that identifies and matches specific client characteristics with the most compatible interventions.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
For written cancellations received by March 1, a refund, minus a $25 administration fee, will be given. No refunds will be offered for cancellations received after March 1. If you register but are unable to attend, you may send a substitute.

Continuing Education
All programs are approved for Continuing Education Credit. Each participant receives a Certificate of Attendance and an official letter with verification of attendance and CEU information is sent from the St. Olaf Registrar after the program concludes.
