Casa de la Familia Poblana - casa de hogar or orphanage run by
DIF the
government program. We had a group there last time. DIF sends children
out to other orphanages after a brief stay here or children may be
placed for
adoption.
Casa Hogar - an orphanage run by nuns of the Sagrado Corazon
de Jesus.
Students would help with home work and some fun and games. Students
assigned
here will begin their volunteer work on Wednesday. They will assist
with Juconi
festivities on Monday and Tuesday.
Juconi program for street kids - working with the kids in their
workshops
making things to sell.
La Granja - residential facility for juvenile offenders which
has workshops,
and a farm; the kids (both boys and girls) like to play active
games.
Casa de Angeles - facility run by DIF for handicapped children
from poor
families - a new site.
Casa de Sal - AIDS (SIDA) facility and drop in center.
CERESO - prison for women - students will help women learn English.
General Hospital - a new site under the Secretaria de Salud
