BIO 233 - Intermediate Genetics
Fall 2002 - Dr. Jean Porterfield

What to Expect From Lab:
Attendance is mandatory and missing labs can result in point deductions. Not every lab will run for a full three hours, but you should expect them to, and not schedule other things during that time. There are also several times when you must come in outside of lab hours to perform parts of your experiments. We will be implementing our knowledge of the theories of genetics by actually doing research in our labs. In these endeavors we will be using some common techniques that are used in a variety of labs both in your future major, and outside St. Olaf (biotech companies, medical research labs, etc.) so these skills will be useful for you to have.
