Requirements: In this class, I will use a variety of teaching methods. These will include lecture, small and large group discussions, student presentations, guest speakers, and videotapes. In order for such a format to work, I need you to come to each class prepared, having done the assigned reading and perhaps some more too.
In addition to the papers and exams, I will occasionally ask you to attend some political events.

Exam I, Monday, September 30, (15%)

Substitute Assignment 1-Group Analysis of Senate Race (due Nov 8, 5%)

Assignment 2 - Paper: Are Citizens Informed? (due Nov 18, 20%)

Assignment 3 - Bibliography (due, November 25, 5%)

Assignment 4- Campaign Finance Paper (due, Dec. 11, 25%)

Final Exam (20%)

Participation and attendance including group presentation (10%)
