Sequencing ResultsBio233-Intermediate GeneticsSpring 2003 Unfortunately, we were unable to really send our cloned pea DNA off for sequencing for several reasons. First, we don’t have enough time (as this is the last week of lab and we wouldn’t have time for data analysis). Second, the funding is just not available to send off all of these sequences. Perhaps we should ge together and write our own grant as to why we would like to sequence the pea genome!! But, here is an example of a sequence that is approximately 1000 base pairs long. This sequence has been obtained from a chromatogram which provides the fluorescent peaks in sequential order obtained from the sequencing reaction. This sequence is given in a 5’-3’ direction. (So is the beginning of this sequence at top or the bottom of the sequencing gel?) Use this sequence for further sequence analysis using techniques in bioinformatics as described in your manual. gtcgggccctatgcgcatcgagctacgctagcgatcgcgtccgttggccacgtgccgtgcatgcttcgat catggtcgatcgcgaaactacaaatcagtaaagtttattcatccgattctcgcttttgcacacacgttct cttcaatggagttgtcagacgacaattcacgagcactagcggcgaaagaagaacagtgatgagcttcggtgacggaaaccttggcgctcttggtctttcatcatcgtcgattccaggcatgggaatggacgcttacgaacccaccgtagtttctaatttgccttccgatatctcttccatatccgccggacattaccattctcttgccgttacatctagcggtgagatttgggcttggggtcgcaacgacgaaggccagctcggtcgaatcgtaattgattctagtagagattcaaggagtgaacctaagagagtggaaggtctagagaatgtgaatgtccaggcagcgtttgcgtctggagttgtttcagctgctattggagatgatggctctttgtgggtttggggaagatctaaaagaggacagcttggtcttggaaatggtatcattgaagctcgagttccttcgagagttgaaaatttagctgcagagcacgttgttaaggtatcattaggttgggggcacgcacttgcgcttactgtggatggtaaagtttttggatggggttatgtagctgatggaagagtaggcaatgttggacttccacttgaagcatctctgctagattcaattacagatgggtcgatgaaaggtcaccatgctgctggtgatttgaatcttgaggcagctgaaaagaaggttgtggaagcaatgagtaaagagaacgatatgccaattgcttgggaaccttgtctggtggaagaaacgtgtaacgagaaggtagcagatattgcgtgcggttccgatcactccttgatcctttgtcatgatggcacacttttgagcgctgggagcaacatctatggtcagttgggtcggtctaaacaagatctaggaatgaaacctgttgatataactgaatctccgatctctatagca
