Classroom Assessment

We will use a variety of classroom assessment techniques this semester.  These activities serve several purposes that will inform and improve both your learning and my teaching.  I intend to use classroom assessment techniques on a regular basis, but not during each and every class period.  In general, these assessments will be done anonymously at the end of a class period and will inform me so I can prepare for the next session.

The techniques I plan to use this semester may include, but are not limited to:

Misconception/Preconception Check
Focused Listing
Minute Paper
One Sentence Summary
Empty Outlines

More information about how to do these assessment techniques will be provided as we use them.
