During this semester, I have learned a lot about the Bible that I never knew before I had taken this religion class. This web portfolio is the culmination of all that I have learned during the religion coarse. It has given me new light on the Bible by providing me with tools that I can use to interpret it. These tools can be applied to any biblical type of literature. Some of the methods I have learned that have helped me interpret the Bible include redaction criticism, the comparative method,and historical criticism. By using these methods of interpretation, I can gain further insight into the messages behind biblical text, and then apply it to everyday life.  |
