For my first year religion class at St. Olaf College, I took a class titled "The Bible and Contemporary Christian Moral Reflection". We read both the Old and New Testament, and related it to our contemporary world. We wrote four focused interpretations about certain passages and books of the Bible. At the end of the semester we wrote response questions to tie together all of the work we had done and what we had learned. In groups we chose a controversial moral issue and made presentations relating the issue to the Bible.
