What is ARMS?
American Racial and Multicultural Studies (ARMS) is a program committed to the study and celebration of American racial and cultural diversity. Introducing students to the cultures, histories, and experiences of African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans and Latinos, courses concentrate on the cultural contributions of these groups, and on the conflicts that have sometimes come from cultural differences. The ARMS program is interdisciplinary, with faculty from many different disciplines helping students integrate multiple perspectives on the issues raised in courses.
