John Maakestad
John Maakestad began as a student at St. Olaf College in 1946 and retired as a full professor in 1994 after 37 years of teaching. John taught painting, drawing, design, printmaking and sculpture as well as a miriad of art history courses. John currently lives just outside of Northfield near Nerstrand, Minnesota and continues to create art.
