2010-2011 ST. OLAF ART SCHOLARSHIPS
This webpage contains information important to the art scholarship application process. Please read it carefully prior to completing your application.
St. Olaf art scholarships are merit-based scholarships that are awarded to students with exceptional art talent. Students may also qualify for additional need-based aid, in which case the art scholarship becomes part of the student's financial aid package.
Ten awards of $6,000 per year are open to art majors and non-art majors. These are renewable scholarships that require the recommendation by the art faculty. It is potentially a $24,000 4-year scholarship.

*FAQ's regarding the submission of your artwork
WHAT SHOULD THE WORK SAY ABOUT ME?
Do your submissions tell us about who you are, what you've been doing, and where you may potentially go at St. Olaf? Your submissions should describe these intentions as a visual statement. We would like to see evidence of your willingness to take risks and move beyond assignments.WHAT IMAGES ARE MOST APPROPRIATE FOR SUBMISSION?
You must submit exactly ten images. Diversity of work is an important part of the portfolio. This may include a range of subject, media, approach, styles, strengths, and potential directions. Do not make work specifically for this portfolio, but instead submit your strongest work to date. You may include details of larger works (please note as such). Include title, media, dimension and date.
WHAT IF I HAVE NON-TRADITIONAL / NEW MEDIA WORK?
As an alternative to submitting a large video file, you may instead upload a screenshot or short video clip and then type the URL to the full video in the appropriate field (see the screenshot below).
